What kind of moral compass do the creators of this show have? Both Mae and Osha kill people deliberately and have no remorse, Sol killed Mother Aniseya accidentally when she turned into a smoke monster and started dissolving Mae, and Sol still had much guilt over this. Are we supposed to be cheering for two killers, who don't regret their actions? Vernestra framing Sol for crimes he didn't commit and using a mind wiped Mae to hunt Quimir, makes her look very evil. I honestly thought her master was going to be Plaguis. But she is still supposed to be a good guy? Your right about Mando season 3 Erik, the finale of that show saved the season for me because it had a good message: the mandos getting past their factionalism and working together to save their planet. Acolyte just pissed me off.

6:23 😂😂😂 surprised they did not write “No, I am a Brendok witch, like my mother before me” I still think this baseline plot COULD have worked, but the writing and execution was worse than horrible. I know people are dogging on the boys season 4, but I was invested in every episode and the finale was satisfying yet also an amazing set up for a final season. Going from acolyte finale to the boys finale was so refreshing. Star Wars deserves so much better. Disney should sell or KK must finally step down. Which one is more likely?

Hi Erik, I gave up on Acolyte since episode 2..and i noticed how frustrating was all this episodes on your vids. In the end this "Acolyte" was for what.!? Next season will be better for sure Erik🤥, kep faith and the force be with you🤭

This show was complete crap. Couldn’t stand the Jedis in this and so many things went against the history of Star Wars.

I fast forwarded through it. Missing the dialogue I missed nothing. I think Master Yoda will tell bald lady “Busy I am, see master other guy down the hall you must.” It’s not Darth Plageious but rather Darth Plagerous his twin brother. The details of the episode makes my decision to fast forward being a good one. Palpatine could be super old like Ki Adi Mundi and he shows up destroying Osha and Smilo Ren. Not all Disney Star Wars is bad. Some of it is really bad. Some is quite enjoyable. But Acolyte is bad. It joins the Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker as I’ve seen it. I’ll not revisit it.

I can't imagine a studio executive green lighting a season 2 after the Acolytes dismal viewership ratings. I'm not 100% sure but She-Hulk Attorney At Law had better ratings than the Acolyte and it didn't get a season 2.

Man, this was so bad. These writers are no more writers than I am a plumber. Disney know they’re in trouble, their lack of movie releases this year confirms something is very much up in the mizzle hizzle. I do like Smylo Ren though, imagine if the HBO writers had this..

Strangely enough I found the whole movie hard to sit through. I didn’t feel anything for any character, the music/sound design was just off putting. No light and shade so ‘climactic’ scenes like riding the worm didn’t do it for me at all. Also it turned out Paul hardly struggled with riding it which explains why later in the movie everyone is riding them so it turns out to be quite common. Same with the bad guy; he’s being set up as an ominous opponent to Paul with a fighting scene in which he defeats two drugged soldiers and, granted, one sober one… My biggest problem is that Paul struggles with hardly anything. Same with th victory over the imperial troops and elite force . What was that? The knife fight… I was secretly hoping Paul would lose and that would be it for this overhyped thing.

I had hopes of this second flashback episode making things make sense, but unfortunately it did the opposite. At this point I just hope they are cutting Plageuis / Tenebrous from the finale to exclude them from whatever this show was. Should have just made a sith show, no twins, no witches.

Episode 7 destroyed any interest in buying merch from this story even if I like the figures. Sol is an ass. I hate this bad cop story. I’m rooting for Stranger to kill more of these bad cops. I agree make it fun. I’m hoping beyond hope Skeleton Crew is fun. This Acolyte show is shaping up to a big streaming pile of no fun. By the way Sol. Hold the children with the Force and forget the broken bridge. You ass. I’m pissed because I liked Sol for some reason. It may have been because I was looking for a likable character in this show and I attached that hope to him. He’s terrible! I mean freaking terrible. What was it these witches were doing that indicated a bad environment to raise them? Make them pull the thread and try to knock each other down? Get tattoos? There weren’t any men? This whole concept is crap! The writing makes Jedi look horrible. I want less of this kind of stories with Jedi and more from Tales of the Jedi. Acolyte is crap. By the way if the Jedi had any power to read Sol/Indara, Kalnacca/other dude they see through the lie. Luke did even as a very novice Jedi. He was dooped by Palpatine but everyone is. Acolyte is crap. I feel betrayed for rooting for crappy characters. I have chosen to stop watching. I don’t care how the story ends. Hopefully it’s Osha stabbing Sol or forgiving him for killing her mom. Maybe she can rise above it like Ahsoka did mostly. I’m sure the ending will have whip Jedi facing Stranger. I hope he wins. These Jedi are terrible. Arrrggggh!

And here I thought we may have something with Manny Jacinto's Qimir after Episode 6. What a fool I was. A mystery not worth keeping. And still no idea what Qimir's deal exactly is. 🙄

I agree that Sol and later the group of Jedi breaking into the fortress was not something Jedi would do. They may have been concerned about an unknown force cult that was raising twins, but they would have kept them under low key surveillance for a while. Mother Aniseya possessing Torbin was straight up evil and what was she trying to do to Mae when she was "dissolving" her? No wonder Sol whipped out his lightsaber. Both Sol and Torbin are out of control emotionally. This show is a mess. I have no idea what point the showrunners were even trying to make. At least we didn't have to listen to the stupid chant again.

Uh uh, not improving on what you said three years ago, I just bought this and although im diggin it, it’s no comparison to a real pinball machine. All the things you disliked including the resolution have not been improved three years later, i would be happy if just the resolution were bumped up.

Went in 2017. Couldn’t even keep my eyes open. Thought I was the only one but randomly thought about it (planning a trip to Universal for Halloween this year) and pleased to find out it’s not a me thing. I heard people used things like Dramamine and Sea-bands to help with the sickness. Going to try this next go around!

Hey man, they subverted our expectations. Mr. Snifferoo did not end up outing Mae, and Sol figured it out on his own. My only question is what the point of this creature even is then lol. Did anyone else notice how his sounds changed entirely from the inhale shrieks to more traditional rodent sounds?

Manny Jacinto is really good in the series. I liked him already in THE GOOD PLACE where he played a total goofball. It all depends on the last two episodes. Let's just forget Episode 3. Nice to hear, when Erik has something good to say. 😉
